Love PC games but hate the mouse+keyboard setup? Want to just kick back with an ergonomic controller in your hand, feet up on your desk? Ever wonder what it'd be like to hook the wiimote up to your computer? Well, wonder no more, Pinnacle Game Profiler let's you do just that and more!

After wearing out the cartilage in my index finger with that brutal combination of WOW and animating in Maya, I started looking for better mice, touch-pens, trackballs, anything that could let me continue gaming on the PC without jeopardizing my hand health. I've tried them all. I finally decided to try using a gamepad for my PC, and after trying several programs, I've found my calling in PGP's excellent and dirt cheap solution. So far, I've connected wireless XBox 360 and PS2 controllers to it flawlessly, and it even supports the wiimote. My co-workers were impressed. …
Virtually anything you can do on the keyboard or mouse you can do with PGP. What impressed me right off the bat was the perfect mapping from mouse to analog stick, complete with sensitivity and acceleration. They thought of everything: double-tap commands, held commands, cycled commands, shifting to a new layout, and (funnest of all) mapping different functions to each "zone" of the 360's analog trigger buttons. I could tap the trigger button to do one thing, or hold it all the way down to do another, as well as everything in between. On neat trick I managed was to set how hard I held a trigger to mouse sensitivity.
The interface for PGP was a bit clunky my first time using it, but I got used to it once I understood that profiles could have more than one controller configurations. It was a bit annoying to be forced to associate a profile with an executable, so just set it to pinnacle.exe itself. However, given the sheer amount of things you can customize and add, I can't say any other program has done it better. When customizing, there are so many functions you can add that the dropdown window is a bit limited, requiring excessive scrolling. I went ahead and deleted functions I didn't need to remedy this.
One fantastic feature that by itself justifies the cost of this program is the macroing. I paid around $20 for a macroing program before, and now PGP has it for the same cost, almost the same amount of features, AND connected to a gamepad! There's a plethora of inputs, waits, mouse inputs, etc. that you can string together and attach to a single button. There is even a convenient looping function you can add to have your macro repeat a set number of times.
I spend the last week figuring out a custom setup to allow me to play Warhammer Online on a 360 gamepad, but with the flexibility of a mouse. It wasn't easy, but I managed to set it up so that I am in mouselook all the time (as if I was playing a console game) until I hold the right trigger to let me move my mouse around. It is to Pinnacle's credit that I was able to go through a dozen control schemes before finding this nearly perfect one. While I may not be able to play as competitively as I used to, I will be able to enjoy the game in absolute comfort, and all while conserving my hand health for other things (like work  ).
PROS:
– Unprecedented customization w/ importing and exporting profiles.
– Great macroing features.
– Excellent developer support on the forums.
– Only $20!
– Several available profile presets for popular games on the site.
– Free trial!CONS:
– Would like to see double/held command combinations.
– Would like to see more than double commands (triple taps).
– Rare stability issues (easily fixed by resetting).
– No messenger kit support (Microsoft's fault, bug them about drivers!).
In conclusion, VERY RECOMMENDED!
damn hand health and work. I had to stop watching porn because of tennis elbow
Thanks for the review, I will look into it.
naturally like your web-site however you need to
test the spelling on quite a few of your posts.
A number of them are rife with spelling issues
