    Uhura's legs were indeed fantastic.

However, that's not what I'm posting about. What a very succinct and accurate way of describing the difference between Fantasy and Sci-Fi.

It makes a lot of sense. Thanks!

That is also why I think Star Wars fans responded so poorly to the idea of Metachlorians being the explanation for the Force. It made Star Wars cross the boundary from fantasy into sci-fi.

  3. I'm not so sure that the simplistic genre definitions of sci-fi and fantasy can be so easily defined. Genres titles are best left to the marketing mavens. The most talented artists ignore them, and blend and blur the edges anyway. For most media consumers, it doesn't really matter. You ingest whatever entertainment appeals to your personal tastes, regardless of which shelf some pimply faced clerk at BlockBusted places your rental media on. I personally don't care whether a film/book/game fits into one genre or another, just as long as it entertains and twists a few of my synapses.

  4. I’m impressed, I have to admit. Seldom do I encounter a blog that’s both equally educative and engaging, and let me tell you, you have hit the nail on the head. The issue is something which too few men and women are speaking intelligently about. I’m very happy that I found this during my hunt for something relating to this.
